Which are the materials that keep best the heat. Short description: Every child receives a small carton house with a lamp in it. Then it will “insulate” the house with different materials such as cork, aluminum and frigolite. With the help of a thermometer inside the house, the child will see the temperature increasing or decreasing as the insulators are installed. The results are noted and the child will find out which insulators are the most efficient. Reflection: The child understands that some materials are more insulating than others, and that, to keep the heat in a room, one has to think first about insulating it… because the best energy is the energy that is not consumed ! |
