Learning aims: Help teachers introduce renewable energy, in particular wind energy, in school activities.
Short description: The KidWind Project is a team of teachers, engineers and scientists committed to innovative energy education. The goal is to promote the elegance of wind power through affordable tools and training programs that challenge, engage and inspire students of all ages.

All the turbines of the Kid Wind Project are for educational use. Although they do produce electricity, they are designed for experiments using small electrical devices like LED bulbs and mini water pumps.

Reflection: Hands-on construction projects and investigations let students discover fundamental principles in science as well as links between science, technology, society and the environment.
