Keywords: energy sources, solar energy, water power station
Age of pupils: 15
Learning aims: Students were given a task to make research and find out which are the most ecologically friendly ways to produce energy. Then they had to present their research results to the other students from the class.
Short description: A team of students – Nikoleta Ilieva, Antoaneta Grivekova and Lora Titorenkova studied the ways to produce solar energy and building Solar Power Stations. They made a model of a Solar Power Station and prepared a Power Point Presentation - The Sun - Our Friend about the effectiveness of producing and using solar energy. The presentation can be seen at:

Another team - Stefan Borisov, Gabriela Georgieva, Damyan Yordanov worked on water power stations. They presented their results using a model of a water power station and a Power Point Presentation - Water Power Station – Water is Energy. During their Science lesson they proved that that is one of the most ecologically friendly ways to produce energy.

Reflection: As a result of the research students compared all the sources of producing energy, the advantages and disadvantages of every one of them.
