Fluctuaţia preţului energiei, schimbările climatice şi problemele centralelor nucleare demonstrează nevoia de a reconstrui din temelie industria energetică.
O economie, respectiv o industrie sustenabile din punct de vedere energetic au apărut deja în multe comunităţi şi regiuni din Europa. Firme mici şi mijlocii, autorităţi locale şi cetăţeni consumă energie şi trebuie integraţi în procesul de schimbare bazat pe creşterea eficienţei energetice şi utilizarea surselor regenerabile de energie.

Continues the commitment of the Mountain Community on the front of energy saving and use of renewable energy sources. The headquarters of the public body, in Magione, it was equipped with a photovoltaic, and the Office “Planning and design” of Mountain Community is carrying out 2 European projects devoted to sustainable energy: “Sustainable Now” and “EGS – Energy Education, Governance Schools”, both co-financed to75% by the "Intelligent Energy". The EGS project aimed at three high schools of the area, aiming to promote the practice of energy conservation and use of clean energy, including through the organization of Local Energy Forum.
