“Do you also suffer from extravagance?“ - German students make energy conservation “cool”

The idea was to inspire the whole “School Family” for more energy efficiency and responsible energy consumption. But how to bring the message across? Students of the Gymnasium Gröbenzell (Germany) developed ideas in a seminar and tested them. One success was a video-contest. Teachers at the FOSBOS Fürstenfeldbruck (Germany) developed computer science lessons to teach students EXCEL and additionally enhance them to calculate Life-Cycle Costs of Energy Using Products.
