EGS Project

Was held Tuesday, April 27, at the headquarters of the Mountain Community, the second meeting of the Forum on community projects EGS - Energy Education Governance and Sustainable Schools Now, both financed by the EU under the "Intelligent Energy".

The two projects are dedicated to local sustainable energy: EGS is targeted at high schools in the area and has the objective of a tangible energy savings through greater dissemination of knowledge and best practices and implementation of targeted projects. The “Sustainable now” project foresees the establishment instead of an energy plan local action to reduce consumption in the municipalities involved.
The first meeting of the Forum was attended by public officials, representatives of associations, environmental groups, schools, private companies and on that occasion was made an analysis of energy problems of the territory and Schools.

Based on the results of this analysis, the meeting of Tuesday, have been developed proposals for resolving energy issues emerged.

In practice was defined a draft energy action plan, that the next and last meeting of the Forum will ultimately approve.

Meanwhile, the forum participants are engaged in the preparation of project sheets designed to advance its objectives.

Under the EGS program will then conducted a feasibility study of projects most representative, and one of them will be realized in the school leader (IPSIA “Cavour – Marconi” in Piscille).

Nowadays, meanwhile, will begin the training course "Sustainability and alternative energy", organized by the Mountain Community in collaboration with the same project leader EGS school, to provide instruments and materials for teachers to environmental education.
