EGS Project

On “Tag der erneuerbaren Energien - Renewable Energy Day” on 24.4.2010, events took place throughout the whole of Germany, at which the use of solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity and biomass were promoted.

Together with the Climate Council of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund, the Umweltbüro Nord e.V. organised the event in Stralsund and also presented the EGS Project there.

The focus of the event was the heat supply of a building with four apartments. The building has gas central heating. In addition, thermal energy is obtained with solar collectors and a wood-burning stove, which was able to considerably reduce the gas costs.
