EGS Project

EGS poster was presented at the World Sustainable Energy Days by Brigitte Zörweg and Johann Laister (MERIG) from 3^rd to 5^th March 2010.

The World Sustainable Energy Days, the largest annual conference in this field in Europe, offer a unique combination of events on sustainable energy production and use, covering energy efficiency and renewable energy sources for buildings, industry and transport. This years’ conference was attended by more than 750 participants from 51 countries whereby this yearly event is organised in parallel to the “Energiesparmesse” Wels one of the largest fairs in Europe targeting the topic energy saving, which is attended by over 100.000 participants.

The EGS approach, to strengthen the capacity of schools and to use their “position” in society as multipliers, was considered to be very interesting and unique by participants in numerous discussions. A EGS project outline is published in the conference proceedings of the WSED.
