EGS Project

The Romanian partners organized the First Local Forum “Energy and Education” on September, 24^th 2009 at Western University “Vasile Goldis” of Arad, Romania. At this Forum participated students, teachers, members of school board, local authorities, Electricians` Association, Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Environmental Agency, SME`s, parents.

The event started with a main presentation of the project, a presentation concerning School and Energy and one about Solar Panels. There was also a brainstorming activity. The participants were divided in three working groups, discussing about three main issues:

1. Energy efficiency in Schools
2. Familie’s Involvement in Student’s Behavior  at School
3. What kind of energy topics can we find in the Curriculum?

The Forum ended by presenting the results coming out in thematic working groups and final discussion.

The event was widely popularized by mass media: newspapers and the local television network.
